Universitas Indo Global Mandiri(UIGM) appointed Dr. Ir. Endy Agustian, S.T., M.Eng as Acting Dean of the Faculty of Engineering (PAW) for the 2026–2029 term. The inauguration also included the appointment of another faculty official during the event, which took place in the Third-Floor Auditorium of Building B at UIGM on Monday (August 3).
The oath-taking and inauguration ceremony was presided over by the Rector of Universitas Indo Global Mandiri, Dr. H. Marzuki Alie. The two new officials officially assumed their duties after taking their oaths of office before the campus academic community. “This oath is a moral commitment, not merely a ceremony,” Marzuki emphasized.
In his remarks, Marzuki expressed his hope that the newly appointed officials would be able to bring the greatest possible benefit to humanity through their knowledge and the positions they hold. He emphasized that no matter how high one’s academic degree may be, it is meaningless without bringing benefit to others. “Advanced knowledge and a string of degrees are useless if they do not benefit humanity,” he said.
Marzuki Alie also encouraged all UIGM faculty members to pursue higher education in order to attain the rank of full professor through honorable means. He noted that enhancing faculty members’ academic capabilities is key to strengthening the quality of higher education in the future. “Pursue the rank of full professor in an honorable way,” he advised the faculty members.
He reminded the newly appointed administrative officials that they bear a great responsibility for the advancement of education on campus. According to him, the trust placed in them must be repaid with tangible results and full dedication from each official. “This responsibility is not just about the position, but about the advancement of education itself,” concluded Marzuki (andhiko ta)
