Universitas Indo Global Mandiri Faculty of Medicine Health Seminar Targets the Next Generation of Outstanding Doctors and Academics

The Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (UIGM) organized a health seminar titled “A Generation of Outstanding Doctors and Academics in the Transformation of Indonesia’s Healthcare System” in the 6th-floor auditorium of the UIGM Faculty of Medicine on Thursday, July 23.

This event was held to provide insights to the academic community and medical professionals regarding the direction of the national healthcare system’s transformation, while also serving as a forum for doctors and health academics to share strategic insights.

The seminar featured two keynote speakers: Professor Ali Ghufron Mukti, M.Sc., Ph.D., AAK, from the Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), and Professor Chairil Anwar, DAP&E, Sp.ParK., Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM).

In their presentations, the speakers provided crucial insights into the future of healthcare transformation in Indonesia as well as the challenges frequently encountered in South Sumatra in particular.

In addition to discussing healthcare transformation, this seminar also highlighted the importance of health education for academics as preparation for the challenges of the ever-evolving medical field. Health education is considered the cornerstone for producing competent academics and physicians who can adapt to the changing times.

“Health education for academics is key to producing a generation of doctors who are ready to face future health challenges,” said Dr. Wilma Hannie Daniel, M.KM, a public health expert at the UIGM Faculty of Medicine, who also served as the moderator for the event. (andhiko ta)
