Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (UIGM) participated in a workshop on Strengthening Public Relations Management and Public Information Disclosure (KIP) at Higher Education Institutions under LLDIKTI Region II, held at Emersia Hotel & Resort in Bandar Lampung on Wednesday (August 5).
Head of the Promotion Division, Septia Sastika Angelina, S.E., M.M., explained that this event provided an opportunity for us to gain new insights into how to better manage institutional communications.
According to her, this event organized by LLDIKTI Region II aims to enhance higher education institutions’ capacity in public relations management while strengthening the implementation of public information disclosure that is effective, transparent, and accountable.
“Solid public relations serve as the foundation for building public trust in educational institutions,” said Septia.
The topics discussed, she explained, covered the importance of information and communication management at higher education institutions in the digital age—ranging from building institutional image to conveying public information that is accurate and easily accessible to the public. “The accuracy of every piece of information conveyed must be verifiable,” she said.
Through these activities, universities under the jurisdiction of LLDIKTI Region II are encouraged to improve the quality of public information management and strengthen their public relations role in a professional manner. “Professionalism in conveying information is key to building good relationships with the academic community and the public,” he concluded.
