Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (IGM) officially inaugurated a number of new administrative officials during a ceremony held in the Third-Floor Auditorium of Building B at IGM University on Tuesday (June 30).
This inauguration marks a renewal of the leadership structure on campus. Among those appointed were Dr. Lastri Widyastuti, S.Kom., M.Kom, as Acting Vice Rector I for Academic Affairs and Student Affairs; Dr. Yuliza, SE., M.Si as Acting Chair of the Management Studies Program in the Master of Management (MM) Program; and Dr. Sumi Amariena Hamim, who was appointed as the rector’s special staff member for university rankings.

After the inauguration, the Rector emphasized that the process had been carefully planned and was not a spur-of-the-moment decision, noting that the interests of the organization must always take precedence over personal interests. “The interests of the organization are far more important than the interests of any individual,” he stated before a group of faculty members and staff at Universitas IGM.

He also outlined the university’s ambitious goal of joining the ranks of world-class universities, which he said cannot be achieved through conventional means and requires a new strategic leap forward. “We must prove that this university deserves a place on the world stage,” he said.

To the newly appointed First Vice Rector, the Rector urged him to carry out his duties with full responsibility, free from personal or familial ties. He reminded him that no individual should feel more important than another, because success can only be achieved through the cooperation of all members of the university community.

“No one is more important than anyone else; everything must go hand in hand,” he concluded. (Andhiko Ta)
