The Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (UIGM) held the Grand Finale and Social Gathering for its 2nd Anniversary on Saturday (September 19).
During the event, the Dean of the UIGM Faculty of Medicine, Prof. dr. Chairil Anwar, DAP&E, Sp.PARK, Ph.D., expressed his gratitude for the faculty’s journey, which has now reached its second anniversary.
Chairil noted that this achievement is closely tied to the hard work of the Universitas IGM Rector in establishing and developing the Faculty of Medicine since its inception.
He also revealed that the faculty’s accreditation process is currently underway and is expected to be completed in the near future. “The journey toward accreditation has not been easy, but the results will be worth it,” he said.
The highlight of the celebration was marked by a tumpeng-cutting ceremony as a symbol of gratitude for the achievements made over the past two years. The event was also enlivened by artistic performances from first-, second-, and third-year students of the UIGM Faculty of Medicine.
Meanwhile, the Rector of Universitas Indo Global Mandiri, Dr. H. Marzuki Alie, emphasized that although the process of establishing the Faculty of Medicine was full of challenges, the results achieved to date have been optimal.
According to him, the university will continue to promote the improvement of faculty quality within the faculty. “Almost all of our faculty members have now earned their doctoral degrees,” he said.
He added that Universitas IGM is also working to ensure that a number of faculty members from the Faculty of Medicine can attain the rank of full professor in the near future.
He said that solutions would be found immediately for any obstacles that arise during the process in order to establish a world-class medical school. “No matter what the challenges are, we will do our best for education in Indonesia,” he concluded. (andhiko ta)
