Three students from Yemen officially arrived in Palembang on Saturday (September 12, 2026) to pursue higher education at Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (UIGM).
The three landed at Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II International Airport in Palembang after a long journey from their home country. Their arrival marks a new chapter in Universitas Indo Global Mandiri international education initiatives.

The three students are Mohammed Khaled Musaad Nasser Al-Salahi, who will be studying in the Information Systems program; Qusai Ali Abdullah Al-Naggar, in the Computer Systems program; and Ebrahim Ali Manea Hussein Al-Salahi, who will be studying in the Civil Engineering program.
In total, there are four Yemeni students enrolled at Universitas IGM this year. One other student has not yet departed for Indonesia because he still needs to complete several administrative requirements before departure.

Although they are international students, all three are still required to participate in the 2026 Orientation Program for New Students (PKKMB) just like other local students. This program is part of their process of adapting to the academic environment and campus culture in Indonesia. (andhiko ta)
