Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (UIGM) officially installed Prof. dr. H. Chairil Anwar, DAP-E, SpParK, Ph.D. as the new Dean of the Faculty of Medicine (FK) on the sixth floor of the Faculty of Medicine building on Tuesday (June 2).
This step marks the beginning of a new chapter for the UIGM Faculty of Medicine in its efforts to produce a future generation of medical professionals who are outstanding, professional, and possess high integrity.
“We will carry out this great responsibility with full dedication to produce high-quality doctors who are ready to serve,” said Prof. Chairil.
The Rector of Universitas IGM, Dr. H. Marzuki Alie, personally extended his congratulations on the appointment of Prof. Chairil Anwar as a tenured faculty member, who was simultaneously entrusted with the leadership of the Dean’s Office. He expressed the hope that the presence of this professor would bring positive energy and significant structural reforms to the academic community of the UIGM Faculty of Medicine.
The university administration has high hopes that this new leadership will always be granted the strength and health to lead the faculty toward the best achievements that have a tangible impact on society. “Synergy among all campus elements is essential to realizing the grand vision of this medical faculty,” said Marzuki.
He also hopes that the new dean will shoulder the heavy responsibility of guiding the UIGM Faculty of Medicine toward excellent accreditation and establishing it as a center for medical science development. In addition to focusing on science, he said, the faculty is also required to act swiftly in preparing competent healthcare professionals to meet the medical service needs of the broader community.
Management does not deny the existence of significant challenges, particularly in preparing educational staff who are fully prepared to carry out the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. “Accelerating academic quality and medical research must be a top priority that is non-negotiable,” he concluded.
