The 2026 Campus Life Orientation Program (PKKMB) for new students at Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (UIGM) featured a free health check-up event held in collaboration with the Talang Ratu Community Health Center on Tuesday (September 15).
UIGM’s Vice Rector III, Dr. H. Tien Yustini, M.Si, hopes that the entire UIGM community will participate in the checkups. “Health is the most important asset for students to get the most out of their college experience,” she said.

During the event, he continued, a number of health screening services were provided free of charge to the academic community. These services included mental health screening (SRQ), eye exams, weight measurements, waist circumference measurements, and blood pressure checks. In addition, blood sugar tests, SADANIS and IVA screenings specifically for female participants, as well as dental and oral health exams were also provided.
“All of these screenings are designed to detect health conditions early on,” explained Tien.
She added that these screenings, which target both physical and psychological aspects, are expected to provide an initial assessment of the participants’ health.
“Faculty, staff, and students who are physically and mentally healthy will be better prepared to face the challenges of college life,” she said.

Tien also encouraged all new students not to miss out on this free health screening, given its significant benefits for monitoring personal health. She hopes similar activities will continue to be held during future PKKMB events.
“Make the most of this opportunity, because health can’t wait,” she concluded. (andhiko ta)
