Vice Rector III of IGM University; BRIN Synergy Accelerates Innovation Beneficial to the Nation

The National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) has established strategic partnerships with four universities in Palembang, including Indo Global Mandiri University (IGM).

In addition to UIGM, BRIN has also signed cooperation agreements with Muhammadiyah University Palembang, Bina Darma University, and Palembang Akamigas Polytechnic. This collaboration is an important step in strengthening the synergy between universities and national research institutions to support the development of science, technology, and innovation in South Sumatra.

The MoU was signed by the Vice Rector III of Indo Global Mandiri University, Dr. Dr. Tien Yustini, M.Si, and witnessed by the Head of the Bureau of Public, General, and Secretariat Communications of BRIN, Yudho Baskoro, S.Sos., M.Si., M.P.P.

Tien stated that the partnership with BRIN opens up broad opportunities for collaboration. She also emphasized that this synergy is important to accelerate innovation. “The partnership with BRIN opens up broad opportunities for collaboration, especially in the development of community-based research, the commercialization of research results, and the capacity building of lecturers and students in the field of innovation,” she said after the signing of the MoU on Friday (31/10).

Ia menambahkan bahwa melalui kerja sama ini, UIGM serta perguruan tinggi mitra lainnya dapat memperluas akses terhadap fasilitas riset nasional, mengikuti program-program BRIN, dan terlibat aktif dalam jaringan peneliti lintas disiplin yang tersebar di seluruh Indonesia. Kolaborasi ini juga diharapkan dapat memunculkan integrasi kualitas penelitian yang lebih tinggi dan berdampak positif pada kemajuan bangsa dan negara. Program-program yang akan didorong meliputi riset kolaboratif, magang terpadu, hingga publikasi ilmiah berstandar internasional.

Sementara itu, Kepala Biro Komunikasi Publik, Umum, dan Kesekretariatan BRIN, Yudho Baskoro, S.Sos., M.Si., M.P.P. menyampaikan apresiasi terhadap langkah proaktif perguruan tinggi di Palembang dalam mendorong penguatan ekosistem riset di daerah. Ia menegaskan keterbukaan BRIN untuk menjalin kerja sama demi menghasilkan penelitian yang aplikatif dan bermanfaat.

“BRIN sangat terbuka untuk berkolaborasi dengan perguruan tinggi. Kami berharap kerja sama ini dapat menghasilkan penelitian yang aplikatif, berorientasi pada solusi, dan memberikan manfaat langsung bagi masyarakat,” pungkasnya. (andhiko ta)
