Universitas Indo Global Mandiri Ranks Among the Top 5 Recommended Private Universities Out of 150 Campuses in Region II

The Head of LLDikti Region II, Prof. Dr. Iskhaq Iskandar, M.Sc., described the graduation ceremony as the final preparation for students before they leave the Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (IGM) campus

This milestone marks the end of their academic journey and serves as a gateway to a new chapter in life. “After today, you will set out on your own, carrying with you the knowledge and character you’ve gained from this campus,” said Iskhaq during his remarks at the 24th Commencement Ceremony of Universitas Indo Global Mandiri on Saturday, October 24.

Iskhaq revealed that Universitas IGM was among the five private universities (PTS) recommended at a conference of private universities in Surabaya. The five universities were selected from approximately 150 private universities under the supervision of LLDikti Region II. “Achievements like this don’t just happen. There’s a lot of hard work behind them,” he said.

Iskhaq noted that Universitas IGM contribution to the world of education is immense—not only for the region but also for the nation and the country. The university is recognized for its role in preparing the human resources needed for development. “A university that produces high-quality graduates helps safeguard the future of this nation,” he remarked.

Addressing the graduates, he reminded them that every graduate has a different journey. Some have had a smooth path, while others have had to pick themselves up time and time again. Iskhaq encouraged them not to be afraid of failure and to dare to try new things after graduation. “Use up your quota for failure. That’s where people learn to become strong,” he said.

He also touched on the foundation of a nation. According to Iskhaq, a nation’s strength is not measured solely by its military power, but by the quality of the leaders who build it—including the Indonesian nation. Higher education institutions, he said, have the duty to produce such leaders. “A great nation is shaped by people of high caliber, and it is you who will fill that role,” he emphasized.

At the end of his remarks, Iskhaq congratulated all Universitas IGM graduates on their degrees. He expressed his hope that the graduates would uphold the good name of their alma mater wherever they may go. “Congratulations to all of you. Prove that today is a beginning, not an end,” he concluded. (andhiko ta)
