Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (IGM) held a graduation ceremony for 472 graduates as part of its 24th Graduation Ceremony of 2026 at the Golden Sriwijaya Building on Jalan Gubernur H Bastari in Palembang on Saturday, October 24.
Slightly different from usual, this ceremony was held off-campus. “Today you officially hold your degrees, but the real journey has only just begun,” said IGM Rector Dr. H. Marzuki Alie, Ph.D.
The graduates consisted of 29 Master’s (S2) program students and 443 Bachelor’s (S1) program students. Of the Bachelor’s graduates, 55 were from the Sharia Studies program. They were described as prospective alumni who will become part of the nation’s next generation. “They are the future force that will fill various sectors of life,” said the Rector.

On behalf of the entire academic community, the Rector congratulated the graduates on successfully completing their master’s and bachelor’s degree programs. According to him, this achievement did not come overnight. “These degrees are the result of a long struggle, hard work, and unceasing prayers,” he said.
He also highlighted the role of families in the graduates’ success. Full support from parents and guardians, he said, served as a foundation that strengthened the students throughout their education. “Without family support, many of them might not have reached this point,” he said.
He also expressed his highest appreciation and gratitude to the parents and guardians of the graduates. He noted that the trust placed in the university to educate their sons and daughters is a great responsibility. “That trust is not merely an honor for us, but a responsibility we must uphold,” he concluded.
