UIGM – UIN Raden Fatah Establishes Cooperation Commitment, Strengthens Educational Collaboration and Internationalization

Indo Global Mandiri University (UIGM) and Raden Fatah State Islamic University (UIN) Palembang held a gathering on Friday (August 22).

The meeting between UIGM Vice Rector III, Dr. Dr. Hj. Tien Yustini, M.S., and UIN Raden Fatah Vice Rector III, Dr. Syahril Jamil, M.Ag, was a follow-up to the existing cooperation between the two institutions. Both parties agreed to strengthen collaboration in various fields, particularly in education, entrepreneurship, and internationalization.

UIGM Vice Rector III, Dr. Dr. Hj. Tien Yustini, M.S., explained that the meeting aimed to explore more opportunities for cooperation. She explained that there are many areas that can be synergized for mutual progress.

“We discussed what could be collaborated on in terms of education, teaching, community service, research, and student exchanges. We also discussed the admission of new students and lecturer activities outside the campus. In essence, we want to identify various activities that can be collaborated on together,” she said.

Tien added that one of the main focuses of this collaboration is internationalization. Both universities want to jointly expand their networks and improve the quality of education in order to compete in the global arena. “We discussed internationalization together, both between lecturers and students of IGM University and Raden Fatah University Palembang,” he said.

This collaboration, he continued, is becoming more concrete because UIN Raden Fatah has a Sharia Business Management Faculty, which opens up great opportunities for collaboration between study programs. Tien revealed that both universities have a history of good cooperation and are determined to continue improving it.

“Indeed, UIGM and UIN Raden Fatah have had good cooperation for several years and must always be improved. We also exchange experiences and insights regarding the policies that have been implemented,” he concluded. (andhiko ta)
