The dormitory of Indo Global Mandiri University (UIGM) has begun to be occupied by dozens of students from outside the city.
Currently, eight rooms are occupied by a total of 32 residents. The dormitory is designed to provide comfortable and inclusive housing solutions for students from outside the province and surrounding areas.
Each standard room in the UIGM dormitory is designed to accommodate four people. In addition, there are two special rooms for students with disabilities, each of which can accommodate two students. Room facilities include bunk beds, study tables, wardrobes, and good ventilation to create a healthy and productive environment. The dormitory building design prioritizes the principles of inclusivity and comfort for all residents, including students with special needs.
The cost of staying in this dormitory is IDR 250,000 per month. These residential facilities can be used by students who are recipients of KIP Kuliah, scholarships, or regular students. In addition, to be able to occupy the dormitory, students must complete the requirements in the form of a letter of permission from their parents and a health certificate related to congenital diseases, if any.
Heni Triani, S.PT., from the Marketing and Registration Department of the UIGM Dormitory, explained that the facilities are adequate to make students feel comfortable and able to focus on their studies.
“We also pay attention to the aspect of inclusivity by providing special rooms for people with disabilities, so that all students can experience a friendly and supportive environment,” she said.
The dormitory has been positively received by the university, as it provides housing solutions for students from outside the city and province. In addition to serving as a place to live, the dormitory is also designed as a space for character building and personal development for students.
“With these facilities, it is hoped that UIGM students can enjoy a more comfortable campus life and gain a better learning experience,” she concluded. (andhiko ta)
