The Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (IGM) is conducting an on-site accreditation assessment by the Independent Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes).
The on-site assessment took place from August 31 through today (September 2). The purpose of this institutional visit was to validate the quality of the curriculum, medical support facilities, and the university’s management of medical education programs.

“This verification and accreditation are essential to ensure that future graduates meet national medical professional standards,” said the Rector of Universitas Indo Global Mandiri, Dr. H. Marzuki Alie, during his opening remarks.
For this assessment, LAM-PTKes appointed five medical experts to serve as independent assessors in the accreditation process. They were Dr. dr. Ibrahim, M.Sc., M.Pd.Ked., Sp.KKLP; Prof. dr. Fera Ibrahim, M.Sc., Ph.D., Sp.MK(K); Dr. dr. Abdullah, Sp.PD-KGH, FINASIM; Dr. dr. Zelly Dia Rofinda, Sp.PK(K); and dr. Ahmad Rizal, Sp.S(K), Ph.D.

The evaluation team analyzed the self-evaluation reports submitted by the study program administrators. “The involvement of these interdisciplinary experts provides a comprehensive picture of compliance with academic standards,” he emphasized.
The assessment process included intensive discussion sessions to clarify criteria, bringing together the dean’s office, faculty members, support staff, and student representatives. These sessions examined the alignment between administrative documents and actual implementation—from teaching and learning activities to clinical rotations.

This evaluation serves as the foundation for LAM-PTKes before issuing the official accreditation rating for the study program. “All of the panelists’ notes serve as a real benchmark for the operational readiness of our medical education facilities moving forward,” he concluded. (Andhiko Ta)
