The Indo Global Mandiri (IGM) Foundation conducted a sacrificial animal slaughter involving two cows and one goat to commemorate Eid al-Adha 1447 AH at the Sudirman Campus on Thursday morning (May 28).
This annual religious event was held simultaneously to ensure that the distribution of sacrificial meat could reach all members of the academic community and the surrounding community.
“We want to ensure that this year’s Eid al-Adha sacrifice truly makes a tangible difference and brings happiness to everyone in the foundation’s extended family as well as the residents living near the campus,” said Dr. H. Chandra Satria, M.Si., Chair of the Eid al-Adha 1447H Sacrificial Animal Slaughter Committee.
He explained that the process of slaughtering and distributing sacrificial meat is not only centered at the Sudirman Campus but is also spread across several other strategic locations under the foundation’s auspices. Some of these distribution points are located at the Burlian Campus and the IGM Al Ihsaniyah Islamic Boarding School (Ponpes) to expand the reach of beneficiaries.
“We deliberately chose to spread out these locations so that the logistics distribution process would be more effective, targeted, and not concentrated in just one place,” he explained.
According to him, this year’s Eid al-Adha sacrifice can serve as an effective means of strengthening bonds of friendship while fostering social compassion among one another. “The core essence of today’s series of activities is to cultivate a deep sense of empathy and strengthen our sense of human solidarity within the community,” he concluded.
