Indo Global Mandiri University (IGM) facilitated the 9th Satu Amal Indonesia Pre-Basic Volunteer Training on Sunday (19/10) in the 12th Floor Hall of the Sudirman Campus.
The event was attended by 395 prospective volunteers aged 16 to 19, consisting of students and workers. The training aimed to instill a spirit of social awareness and prepare them to become volunteers who are ready to help others with the best of intentions.

In his motivational speech, the Rector of IGM University, Dr. H. Marzuki Alie, emphasized that the most basic education comes from parents, and that social sharing values are very important in shaping community awareness. He also highlighted the role of science in developing mindsets.
“The most basic education comes from parents. Social sharing is important, and it shapes our social awareness towards society. Science will develop our minds,” he said, inspiring participants to become individuals of integrity and care.

Meanwhile, Vice Rector II of IGM University, Dr. Dr. Tien Yustini, M.S., also gave her full support. She hopes that the volunteers can become the next generation of the nation who are sensitive to social conditions. This collaboration with Satu Amal Indonesia is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
“We hope that you will become a sensitive future generation. We fully support Satu Amal’s activities and collaborate in achieving the SDGs, because this is a Great Impact to Be Humanity Volunteer,” said Tien.

The founder and chairman of the Amal Indonesia Foundation, Bahrul Arkani Arifin, S.T., said that Satu Amal Indonesia is a philanthropic movement initiated by young people. This charity movement focuses on helping those in need and complementing the work and role of the government in the fields of social welfare, education, disaster relief, and community empowerment. Since its establishment in 2020, this movement has had 1,200 volunteers and is determined to continue spreading benefits.

“This is a philanthropic movement initiated by young people, a charitable movement for those in need. This momentum marks a historic moment for young people to dedicate their time to humanitarian work and positive efforts to help others,” he concluded. (andhiko ta)
