Indo Global Mandiri University (UIGM) officially inaugurated the Student Organization (Ormawa) administrators for the 2025-2026 term on Friday (9/1/2026).
The solemn inauguration ceremony, which took place on campus, included the inauguration of the Student Representative Council (DPM), the University Student Executive Board (BEM), the Faculty BEM, the Study Program Student Association, and all Student Activity Units (UKM). This inauguration was carried out based on the Rector’s Decree of UIGM as the highest legal basis for the new student executive board.
The Head of the Bureau of Student Affairs, Alumni, and Campus News (BKABK) of IGM University, Drs. R.M. Rum Hendarmin, Ak., M.M., PIA., CA., CSRS, said that student organizations are not just a place to gather, but a strategic vehicle for honing leadership and democratic values. He hopes that all newly sworn-in administrators will be able to carry out their duties with integrity and uphold the academic ethics that apply on campus.
“Student organizations are a real laboratory for you to shape your character as strong leaders while maintaining the values of unity in accordance with the University Statutes,” he said.
This simultaneous inauguration, he continued, also has strategic urgency to ensure that all student activities continue to run in an orderly and coordinated manner, especially in the midst of the ongoing institutional transition. With a legitimate management structure in place, it is hoped that student potential can be developed optimally and in line with the university’s vision and mission. “Every administrator must be a role model in discipline and be able to align every work program with the university’s broader policies for mutual progress,” he concluded.
