Indo Global Mandiri University (IGM) has appointed another professor. During the open senate meeting of Indo Global Mandiri University on Thursday (February 12), Prof. Dr. Darius Antoni, S.Kom., MM, Ph.D was inaugurated as a professor in the field of IT Governance and Service Management in the Information Systems Study Program, Faculty of Computer Science and Science, Indo Global Mandiri University.
This inauguration ceremony was attended by a number of important figures and educational leaders in South Sumatra.
This inauguration was carried out after the Regional II Higher Education Coordination Agency (LLDIKTI) had previously submitted a Decree of Inauguration of the Highest Functional Position as Professor, which was awarded to Prof. Darius Antoni, S.Kom., M.M., Ph.D. The achievement of this professorship is a source of pride for the university as it demonstrates the expertise of UIGM lecturers, which has been recognized nationally and internationally.

During the inauguration ceremony, Prof. Darius Antoni delivered a scientific speech highlighting the people’s economy sector through the title “Digital Village Model for the Development of Supply Chain Management Capabilities in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)”.
In his presentation, he analyzed how the integration of information technology at the rural level can be a driving force for the supply chain efficiency of MSME players. His research focuses on providing concrete solutions regarding the importance of good IT governance to support the sustainability of small businesses so that they can compete in the global market through a structured digital ecosystem. “Rural digitalization is not merely the modernization of tools, but an effort to build community economic independence through the optimization of technology-based goods distribution flows,” he said in his speech.

He hopes that with this professorship, he can motivate other teaching staff at IGM University to continue pursuing the highest academic career levels.
He is also optimistic that he can contribute more significantly to regional development through research-based community service. “Achieving the highest academic position is a manifestation of unwavering dedication to ensuring that every future technology policy is based on a strong scientific foundation for the welfare of the nation,” he concluded.
