The Geomatics Engineering Study Program at Indo Global Mandiri University (UIGM) once again held an inspiring discussion in the Geomatics Discussion (BEO) Series #6.
This event, themed “Hi Target, Simple Way for Survey,” thoroughly discussed efficient and accurate modern surveying methods. The event attracted students and geomatics enthusiasts who wanted to learn more about the latest surveying technology.
The discussion, initiated by the UIGM Geomatics Engineering Study Program, featured a competent speaker in the field, Annisa Alhusna, S.T., who serves as Head of Geomarketing at CV Unitech Indosurta.
In front of dozens of students, Annisa explained in depth the working principles of the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), a key technology in modern surveying. She explained how GNSS, including Hi Target devices, can simplify and improve the accuracy of surveying work in the field, providing a real picture of the application of this technology.
Meanwhile, the Dean of Engineering at Indo Global Mandiri University, Dr. Ing. Utari Sriwijaya Minaka, S.T., M.Eng, expressed her high appreciation for the implementation of BEO Series #6.
He emphasized the importance for students to understand and master the various tools they will use in the real world of work later on. “This activity is very important so that our students can see firsthand the tools that will be used in the real world of work later on. This equips them with relevant practical skills,” said Utari.
She hopes that the UIGM Geomatics Engineering Study Program can continue to develop and produce competent graduates who are ready to compete in the job market. “Understanding GNSS technology and modern surveying devices such as *Hi Target* is crucial for prospective surveyors in this digital era,” she concluded.
