Universitas IGM and MiMTC Agree to Collaborate on Education and International Trade

Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (IGM) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Malaysian International Marketing and Trade Chamber (MiMTC) at the INTEM Auditorium in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

Universitas Indo Global Mandiri was represented by Vice Rector III for Cooperation and Internationalization, Dr. Tien Yustini, S.E., M.Si. “We hope this collaboration will bring tangible benefits to the academic community and society,” she said.

The MoU carries the theme “Collaborative Strategies for Enhancing International Trade between Malaysia and Indonesia.” Its scope includes education, research, entrepreneurship, MSME development, business digitization, human resource development, and international trade.

Activities that can be carried out include joint research, international conferences, guest lectures, student exchanges, and business matching. “The scope for collaboration is broad, and we are focusing on addressing the needs of both the university and the business world,” she said.

The signing ceremony took place alongside a cooperation forum involving around 20 universities from various countries. UIGM used the forum to introduce its institution and explore new collaboration opportunities. “Meeting directly with many universities makes the network feel closer and the opportunities more open,” he said.

Looking ahead, he continued, this collaboration is expected to translate into programs with measurable outcomes and impact. “This MoU is just the starting point; what we’re waiting for are concrete programs whose results we can all experience together,” he concluded. (andhiko ta)
