Improving Quality Through Internal Quality Audit 2021/2022

Indo Global Mandiri University (UIGM) Palembang, through the Academic Development and Quality Assurance Institute (LPAPM), has issued a notification letter regarding the schedule for the Internal Quality Audit (AMI) for the 2021/2022 Academic Year. The letter is addressed to all work units within UIGM, including the Vice Rector, Faculty Deans, Study Program Chairpersons, and other bureau heads. The purpose of this letter is to inform them of the AMI schedule, which will be carried out in December 2022.

In the letter, LPAPM requests all work units to prepare the necessary documents for the AMI process. The AMI implementation schedule is based on the completion of audit readiness forms from each work unit. The AMI process is part of the Quality Month activities routinely carried out by UIGM to ensure that each work unit meets the established quality standards.

The AMI implementation schedule is divided into several sessions and will be held at two main locations, namely the LPAPM room and the UIGM Hall. Each work unit has a predetermined time and place, with morning and afternoon sessions. For example, on Thursday, December 1, 2022, the Civil Engineering study program will undergo an audit in the morning session, while the BPT study program will be audited in the afternoon session. The same applies to other work units, such as Architecture, Surveying and Mapping, K3, Management, Accounting, Government Science, DKV, and Information Technology.

The AMI process involves various work units, including study programs and supporting bureaus such as the Finance and General Administration Bureau (BAU), the Student and Alumni Bureau (BKABK), and the Planning and Development Bureau (BPP). Each work unit is expected to be present according to the predetermined schedule and prepare the necessary documents to ensure the smooth running of the audit process.

The AMI activity is part of the internal quality assurance system (SPMI) implemented by UIGM. Its purpose is to evaluate and improve the quality of academic and non-academic services and processes within the university. With AMI, it is hoped that each work unit can identify shortcomings and make improvements to meet the established quality standards.

This notification letter was signed by the Head of LPAPM, Lastri Widya Astuti, M.Kom., on behalf of the Rector of UIGM. She expects all work units to follow up on this letter seriously and prepare themselves as well as possible for the AMI process. The cooperation and attention of all parties is highly expected so that the AMI process can run smoothly and produce optimal results.

With the implementation of AMI, UIGM hopes to continue to improve the quality of its education and services so that it can produce competent graduates who are ready to compete in the world of work. In addition, AMI is also a strategic step to prepare for the accreditation process in the future.

Overall, this notification letter reaffirms UIGM’s commitment to maintaining and improving the quality of its education and services. With the AMI, it is hoped that all work units at UIGM can continue to improve and provide the best for students and other stakeholders. (darius)
