Yokohama Arata, General Manager of First Study Osaka, Japan, presented on scholarship and career opportunities in Japan to students at Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (IGM).
The presentation was delivered during a guest lecture titled “Scholarship and Career Opportunities in Japan” on Friday, October 2.

This event is the result of a collaboration between IGM and First Study Osaka. “Japan opens its doors wide to young people who are ready to learn and work hard,” said Yokohama.
Speaking to the students, he explained that program participants can secure job opportunities after completing their studies, with a visa valid in Japan. This program allows students to chart their career paths while still in school. “Studying and building a future can go hand in hand, as long as the plan is clear from the start,” he said.

He noted that participants receive two years of free Japanese language study in Japan. Upon completing the two-year program, participants also receive a bonus.
According to him, language proficiency is essential for adapting to and competing in the workplace. “Language is the first key, because that’s what opens the door to all other opportunities,” he said.

In addition, graduates of the program have the opportunity to pursue a master’s degree in Japan. For those who choose to enter the workforce immediately, full-time salaries are said to reach up to 15 million rupiah per month. “That figure isn’t a gift—it’s the result of the preparedness and discipline you build starting now,” he said.
He hopes IGM students will take advantage of this opportunity by preparing themselves early on, both in terms of language skills and mental readiness.
He encouraged students not to hesitate to ask questions and seek further information before making a decision. “Opportunities only mean something to those who dare to take the leap and are willing to prepare themselves,” he concluded. (andhiko ta)
