Indo Global Mandiri University (UIGM) Palembang invites all program study leaders and curriculum teams to attend the 2024 Curriculum Workshop, which will be held on June 27-28, 2024. This activity aims to follow up on the 2024 curriculum evaluation and disseminate information on Permendikbudristek No. 53 of 2023, which was implemented previously. The workshop will be held in the 3rd Floor Hall of Building B, UIGM, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
This workshop is part of UIGM’s efforts to develop an **Outcome-Based Education (OBE)** curriculum in line with the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) and the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program. This learning outcome-oriented curriculum is expected to improve the quality of UIGM graduates so that they are more competent and ready to face challenges in the world of work.
The workshop will open with remarks and guidance from the UIGM Rector, followed by a series of presentations from expert speakers. The materials to be discussed include the basic concepts of KKNI-OBE-MBKM-based higher education curriculum development, the determination of study program graduate profiles, graduate competency standards, and the determination of study materials, courses, and credit weights. In addition, the workshop will also discuss the integration of the MBKM program into the curriculum and the presentation of curriculum documents by each study program.

The workshop schedule is divided into two days. On the first day, Thursday, June 27, 2024, participants will attend the opening session, basic curriculum concept material, and graduate profile determination. The second day, Friday, June 28, 2024, will be filled with material on curriculum structure and mapping, MBKM integration, and curriculum document presentations by each study program. The event will close at 5:00 p.m.
This invitation is addressed to the Secretary of the Rector, Vice Rectors II and III, Head of LPAPM, Head of LPPMK, Head of Bureau, Faculty Deans, Heads of Study Programs, and Study Program Curriculum Teams within UIGM. Vice Rector I, Dr. K-Sumi Amariena Hamim, S.T., M.T., IPM, ASEAN Eng, hopes for active participation from all invitees to ensure the success of this workshop.
By holding this workshop, UIGM hopes to produce a curriculum that is more relevant to the needs of the world of work and the times. This OBE-based curriculum is expected to improve the quality of learning and produce graduates who have competencies in accordance with national and international standards.
Overall, this workshop is a strategic step by UIGM in improving the quality of education and ensuring that the curriculum applied is always up-to-date and in line with the latest developments in higher education. (darius)
