The Government Science Study Program (IP) of Indo Global Mandiri University (UIGM) conducted a strategic visit to Baturaja University (UNBARA) on Tuesday (19/8).
This visit is a concrete step by UIGM in strengthening its preparations for accreditation. During the visit, a number of IP lecturers from UIGM actively participated in discussions on the curriculum and instruments of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education), particularly those focused on the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) approach.
The Head of the UIGM IP Study Program, Dwiki Adi Putra, S.A.P., M.Si, explained that this visit was part of the study program’s strategy to assess readiness and gather input from partners with experience. He mentioned that this meeting was an important moment.
“The entire agenda we discussed was the strengthening of the Tri Dharma and OBE-based curriculum. We hope that the follow-up to this visit will result in the exchange of lecturers and students, research collaboration, and the initiation of international competitions,” said Dwiki.
The UIGM IP Study Program team was welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Social, Political, and Legal Sciences (FISIPH) UNBARA, Septiana Wulandari, M.I.Kom, along with the Head of the UNBARA IP Study Program, Yahnu Wiguno Sanyoto, M.I.P. The selection of UNBARA as a partner was based on shared vision and membership in the Indonesian Government Studies Program Association (KAPSISI).
Menurutnya, kerja sama ini tidak hanya sebatas diskusi, tetapi juga akan direalisasikan dalam bentuk Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Memorandum of Agreement (MoA), dan Implementation Agreement (IA). UNBARA lanjutnya, menjadi referensi penting bagi UIGM, terutama terkait keberadaan Laboratorium Pemerintahan dan Politik Lokal yang sudah mereka miliki. Keberadaan laboratorium ini menjadi acuan bagi Prodi IP UIGM untuk membangun fasilitas serupa.
Sebagai langkah lanjutan, Prodi IP UIGM juga berencana untuk melakukan studi akademik ke Program Studi Ilmu Pemerintahan Universitas Brawijaya yang telah terakreditasi Unggul. “Kami optimis bahwa dengan menjalin kemitraan strategis, kami akan mampu meningkatkan kualitas prodi secara signifikan. Dan agenda konkretnya, akan ada kuliah publik serta keterlibatan dosen IP UIGM dalam sejumlah riset,” pungkasnya.(andhiko ta)
