About Us

Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (UIGM) is a higher education institution established on May 22, 2008 based on the Decree of the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 83/D/O/2008. UIGM was born from the merger of two well-known universities in Palembang, namely the College of Informatics and Computer Management (STMIK IGM) and the Palembang College of Technology (STTP). Since its inception, UIGM has been committed to becoming a center of excellence in technology, management, and applied science.

As a result of this commitment to continuous quality improvement, UIGM has achieved institutional accreditation with the title “Excellent”. This recognition is reinforced by UIGM’s achievement in the Times Higher Education (THE) Ranking in 2025, which places it as one of the best universities in Palembang city.
