Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (IGM) held an appreciation and retirement ceremony for two of its senior faculty members, Dr. Drs. H. Harsi Romli, Ak., MM, and Dr. Drs. H. Hamid Halin, M.Si, on Monday (July 20).
Both professors officially entered retirement after dedicating decades of service to the university’s educational mission.
The Rector of Universitas Indo Global Mandiri, Dr. H. Marzuki Alie, expressed his deep appreciation for the dedication and long experience of both men as senior faculty members.
He noted that Harsi Romli and Hamid Halin have contributed significantly to shaping the face of education at the university.
“There are comings and goings; there are times when we are together and times when we part ways,” he said during his remarks in the Third-Floor Auditorium of Building B at Universitas Indo Global Mandiri.
Marzuki noted that Professor Harsi Romli had even helped establish Universitas Indo Global Mandiri from its very inception. On behalf of the foundation and the university, he expressed his gratitude for all the service and dedication he had shown over the years.
“The knowledge we impart to our children will have lasting benefits,” he said.
He emphasized that the service of these two professors will serve as a historical legacy for Universitas Indo Global Mandiri. This farewell ceremony, he continued, is the university’s way of honoring both of them for their long years of service. “This is part of our historical journey,” he concluded. (andhiko ta)
