BSI and UIGM Strengthen Ties, Enhance Collaboration Between Islamic Banking and Higher Education

Indo Global Mandiri University (IGM) welcomed a courtesy visit from the management of Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI), led by PT BSI Tbk President Director Anggoro Eko Cahyo, on Tuesday (11/18).

During the visit, BSI President Director Anggoro Eko Cahyo expressed his honor at the opportunity to be part of UIGM. He noted that BSI currently has many opportunities to penetrate the community, as more and more people are becoming aware of the existence and benefits of Islamic banking.

“It is an honor to be part of UIGM. We see that BSI now has many opportunities to penetrate the community, and many people are beginning to learn about Islamic banking,” he said.

He believes that it is only natural for BSI to become mainstream in Indonesia, given its status as the country with the largest Muslim population in the world. He hopes that through cooperation with UIGM, BSI can increase its market share, especially in Palembang. This collaboration is expected to bring benefits to the community through support for education and the development of the Islamic economy.

The Rector of UIGM, Dr. H. Marzuki Alie, welcomed the visit, calling it an extraordinary one.

He revealed that BSI is the banking institution that has had the longest partnership with UIGM. Concrete forms of cooperation that have been established include providing scholarships worth IDR 360 million to UIGM students.

“This is an extraordinary visit. BSI is the banking institution that has been cooperating with UIGM for the longest time. We greatly appreciate BSI’s continued support,” he concluded. (andhiko ta)
