Indo Global Mandiri University (UIGM) and the Tangan di Atas (TDA) Community Entrepreneur signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) together.
The signing, which took place on Tuesday (August 12), is a follow-up to the agreement reached in the previous year. This collaboration aims to create positive synergy between the academic world and business practitioners to advance the local economy.

As a follow-up to this MoU, both parties agreed to organize a major event that will invite SME entrepreneurs from across South Sumatra. Vice Rector III for Planning and Cooperation, Dr. Dr. Hj Tien Yustini, M.S., stated that this agreement will serve as a platform for entrepreneurs to gain new insights, expand their networks, and introduce their products.
In addition to the major event, each faculty at UIGM, particularly the Faculty of Government Studies, will actively participate in mentoring programs for SME operators. These programs will be led by experts in their respective fields, including UIGM Rector Dr. H. Marzuki Alie, who will serve as one of the speakers.
According to Tien, the implementation of this cooperation is a concrete manifestation of the university’s role in advancing society. “The realization of this cooperation, which has been signed by UIGM, is to advance MSME players. This will also be related to SDGs, how we contribute to the local economy,” he said.
He hopes that this agreement will have a real and sustainable impact on MSME players. (andhiko ta)
