The Government Science Study Program at Indo Global Mandiri University (IGM) is actively preparing to achieve Excellent Accreditation status.
Various strategic steps are being taken, ranging from signing integrity pacts to holding sharing sessions with partners who have successfully obtained similar accreditation. These efforts demonstrate the study program’s strong commitment to improving the quality of education and services.
The Head of the Political Science Program at UIGM, Dwiki Adi Putra, M.Si, explained that they are currently focusing on compiling and strengthening the necessary documents for the accreditation process. This process is not merely a formality but a thorough evaluation of all aspects of teaching and program management.
Currently, we are continuing to prepare the necessary documents to achieve this excellent accreditation, from signing the integrity pact to inviting partners who have already received this accreditation,” he said.
In an effort to accelerate and optimize preparations, the Government Studies Program at UIGM invited an accreditation team from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences (FISIP) at Sriwijaya University (Unsri) to share their experiences. Present at the session were the Head of the Public Administration Department, Januar Eko Aryansyah, S.IP, SH, M.Si, and FISIP Unsri lecturer Khairunnas, S.IP, M.I.Pol.
Both speakers are part of the team that successfully secured Excellent Accreditation for FISIP Unsri from LAM SPAK. “FISIP Unsri has already received Excellent Accreditation from LAM SPAK. So we will listen to tips and what is required for the accreditation process for the Political Science Program at IGM University,” said Dwiki.
This sharing session, he continued, delved deeply into topics such as how to develop a curriculum aligned with Program Educational Objectives (PEO) and other standards set by the accreditation body. “The Unsri team provided valuable insights on strategies, supporting documents, and effective approaches to navigate the evaluation process,” he concluded.
