The Postgraduate Program of Master of Government Science of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) conducted a study visit to Indo Global Mandiri University (IGM), Saturday (14/12). This activity took place at Sudirman Campus, Palembang, and was welcomed directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Government and Culture of IGM University, Dr. Doris Febrianti, M.Si.
The visit was an important moment in building friendship and establishing a cooperative relationship between the two higher education institutions. Dr. Doris Febrianti said that this visit was the first step in forming a collaboration that would benefit both parties.
We welcome the arrival of a group from Master of Government Science UMY. This is a valuable opportunity to strengthen friendship and open up opportunities for cooperation in the fields of academics, research, and community service, said Dr. Doris.
During this visit, in-depth discussions were held regarding opportunities for cooperation in various fields. One of the important points of this activity is the plan to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Indo Global Mandiri University and the UMY Master of Government Science Program.
This cooperation includes various academic activities, such as joint research, community service, and knowledge exchange that can directly benefit students and lecturers of both universities. This MoU will be the basis for organizing a number of joint activities in the future. We are committed to strengthening this collaboration through community service programs and other academic activities, added Dr. Doris Febrianti.
One of the outcomes of this visit is the plan to implement various community service programs that will involve students and lecturers from both universities. This program aims to make a real contribution in solving various social problems that exist in the community.
In addition, Indo Global Mandiri University also conveyed plans to make a return visit to Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta as a form of follow-up to this meeting. The visit is expected to further strengthen cooperation and open up other collaboration opportunities in the academic and research fields. (andhiko ta/sapta mh)
