Indo Global Mandiri University - Sriwijaya University Collaborate to Conduct USMB Test 2023
Kamis, 18 Mei 2023
Universitas Sriwijaya (Unsri) 2023 Joint Entrance Screening Exam (USMB) opened yesterday, Tuesday (16/5/2023), and will end on 24 June. Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (IGM) participated in this student selection process.
Head of the National Committee for SNPMB, Prof Zainuddin Nawawi, said that the number of new students for the USMB is 30 percent of the total new student capacity.
Zainuddin said the USMB selection is the last selection step, so students who have not previously registered for the UTBK and SNMPTN tests can participate in this test because the opportunity is still available.
He said registration for the USMB test is open for over a month and can be accessed online, making it easier for candidates who will take the test to register.
This is the last chance to register, so use this last chance as well as possible and don't repeat the same mistakes as the previous exam, he said, Monday (15/4/2023).
Zainuddin asked examinees to be confident in their abilities so they would not be influenced by those who said they could take care of the exam and pass.
In addition, examinees who come from outside Palembang should arrive the day before the exam. Don't be like those who had left from home in the suburbs with an estimated normal time but did not take into consideration the possibility of traffic jams or emergencies that could cause the exam location to be late and run out of time to do the task and fail.
He said, if you fail or come late for this exam, then there is no other opportunity because this is the third or last test.
To facilitate the selection of USMB exam participants, Universitas Sriwijaya cooperates with 13 reputed private universities (PTS) in South Sumatra.
He added, there are many advantages of USMB admission including new candidates can only take one test but can choose their preferred study program and campus.
USMB has been carried out since four years ago. However, this year, one more university is participating, University Serasan Muara Enim, which comprises 13 partner universities, said Zainuddin.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Association of Indonesian Private Universities in South Sumatra-Bangka Belitung, H M Helmi SE MSi, appreciated Universitas Sriwijaya as the mentor of universities in South Sumatra that invited other private universities in this USMB selection to provide an opportunity for private universities to accept new students at the same time as the USMB schedule.
