Universitas Indo Global Mandiri participated in an international conference named Junior Chamber International Indonesia (JCI) in the Asia-Pacific Conference (ASPAC) 2023 event.

The activity, which Esa Unggul University initiated, discussed how universities create high-quality human capital in the academic and entrepreneurial areas to support the collaboration of educational institutions with the industrial sector.

The collaboration was opened by the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia, Dr Hj Ida Fauziyah MSi, as well as a list of guests of honour who also delivered remarks as well as speakers, including the Head of LLDikti Region III, Dr Ir Paristiyanti Nurwardani MP, Coordinator of General Substance, Public Relations, and Cooperation of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Yayat Hendayana SS MSi, Professor and Vice-Rector of Indo Global Mandiri (UIGM) Palembang, Professor Erry Yulian T Adesta PhD, CEng (UK) MIMechE IPM (PII), and Vice Chairman International Affairs APTISI / Past National President JCI Indonesia 2008 George Iwan Marantika MBA.

JCI this year was conducted for 4 days on 10-13 May 2023 at The Sultan Hotel Jakarta. It was attended by around 5,000 delegates of JCI members from around 35 countries in Asia Pacific and other countries outside Asia Pacific, such as Russia, Norway, Iceland, the Caribbean, and others.

Some important agendas were carried out, starting from the signing of a memorandum of understanding between JCI Indonesia National President Felix Soesanto, with dozens of universities in Indonesia and also the Association of Indonesian Private Universities (APTISI).

The signing of this collaboration is the first step to collaborating with each other in creating new, more innovative things globally. (andhiko tungga alam/dzulfiqor ammar)
