Students from the Government Study Program at Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (IGM) are not only trained to become politicians or state officials.
In their sixth semester, they are required to take an Entrepreneurship course. As their final project, they must present their group creativity before a panel of judges, including Kang Anan, Regional Director for Sumatra at Indonesia Brand Activist Network (IBAN); Rafli Rizha Pratama, Chairman of HIPMI Higher Education South Sumatra; and Dwiki Adi Putra, M.Si, Head of the Government Study Program at Universitas Indo Global Mandiri.
One of the teams, Group 4, consisting of Moch Aidil Fikri, Nurul Hasanah, and Indah Astuti, presented their creation, a beverage called Mango Dessert. In front of the judges, they detailed their initial capital, production costs, marketing methods, and projected profits.
"This is our first experience. While it is a final exam assignment, it serves as a foundation for us if we jump into entrepreneurship in the future," said Aidil.
Kang Anan from IBAN noted that all teams showed great potential. "They have good basic skills. We provide a simple trigger, which is certainly beneficial for their future. Students have the option to pursue entrepreneurship after graduation. It's just a matter of how to get funding," he concluded. (andhiko ta/Dzulfiqor ammar)
