Senin, 20 Mei 2024
The Government Studies Program at Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (IGM) initiated the Technopreneurship: Business Plan Competition on Thursday (16/5).
The event featured several prominent speakers who have successfully ventured into business and produced outstanding entrepreneurial products. Among them were Kang Anan, Director for Sumatra at the Indonesia Brand Activist Network (IBAN), and Rafli Rizha Pratama, Chairman of the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) for South Sumatra Higher Education.
Dwiki Adi Putra, M.Si, Head of the Government Studies Program at Universitas Indo Global Mandiri, explained that this event serves as the final semester exam for the Technopreneurship course. "This is a practical exam, combining technology and entrepreneurship, showing students how to leverage technology for business ventures," Dwiki told IGMTVnews.com.
He noted that HIPMI PT and IBAN were intentionally invited to assess how well students can present their creative business ideas.
"The presence of HIPMI PT and IBAN provides students with valuable feedback and suggestions regarding their presentations. So, in addition to preparing them to become politicians, civil servants, or work in governmental institutions, we are also preparing them to become entrepreneurs," he said.
He added that the students of Universitas Indo Global Mandiri have great potential and are ready to compete in the job market after completing their studies. "Throughout their university journey, they have been trained in public speaking, mental resilience, and competition in the job market," he concluded. (andhiko ta/dzulfiqor ammar)
