Universitas Indo Global Mandiri(IGM) Government Science Study Program guarantees every student studying at the best campus in Sumsel can immediately experience the real atmosphere before they jump into the world of work by carrying out an internship program.

In 2022-2023, the Universitas IGM Government Science Study Program spread to at least 53 interns at several locations in Indonesia.

Government Science Lecturer/Internship Coordinator 2022-2023, Dwiki Adi Putra, S.A.P., M.Si said, this internship program must be carried out by semester 7 students in government agencies/institutions according to the object of study of the government science study program itself.

He said the external results of the internship in this government agency/institution students can have soft skills such as the ability to communicate, adaptability, reliability in time management, good behavior in organizing, a work ethic, thinking critically, and cultivating leadership spirit.

As for hard skills, such as the ability to map the problems and potential of the community, can prepare program planning based on the needs/interests of the society, can apply relevant science and technology in the development of government such as E-Government, ability, and skill in providing services to the community through standard systems and procedures, and the ability to diplomatize in a government project/program.

Interns are required to work in units that are following their interests. During the internship participants will receive and carry out the tasks and work provided by the field leader/supervisor, he said.

He added that this activity could also be a beginning for students for the benefit of final project/thesis research activities as well as a step for networks in the work world.
