Senin, 20 November 2023

Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (IGM) is increasingly engaging the community in South Sumatra for the development and mentoring of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) based on partnership.
Several partners have been brought on board, ranging from the Women Head of Household Development and Empowerment Agency (LPPEKKA) to the Foundation of the Grand Mosque of Palembang, which focuses on MSMEs involved in weaving Songket and Jumputan fabrics.
Aji Windu Viatra, S.Sn, M.Sn, the Dean of Faculty of Government and Cultural Sciences (FIPB) at Universitas Indo Global Mandiri, stated that the Partnership-Based MSME Business Development Program is aimed at Private Higher Education Institutions (PTS) that meet the requirements for mentoring Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises to encourage mutually beneficial and sustainable cooperation between universities and partners.

"Our focus in this PKM (Community Partnership Program) includes various aspects, starting from Digital Marketing Training, Financial Management Training, Branding Training, Product Packaging Training, Photo and Video Product Training, and Training on Natural Dyes for Fabric and Yarn," said Aji.
Aji mentioned that with the prepared programs, it is hoped that IGM University's partners can enhance their skills in managing natural materials and become more adept at product innovation, including branding, packaging, and visual brand identity.

"In this PKM, participants are also taught how to apply natural dyes to Songket and Jumputan fabrics. Additionally, we encourage them to develop strategies for financial management of their MSMEs. If everything is implemented correctly, it can become a source of income for MSME entrepreneurs in the city of Palembang," he concluded. (andhiko tungga alam/dzulfiqor ammar)"
