Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (IGM), in collaboration with the Expertise Board of the Indonesian Parliament (DPR RI), has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to work together on various projects and agendas.

Additionally, a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was held during the event, focusing on the urgency and direction of the proposed Museum Bill (RUU Permuseuman). The discussion took place on Tuesday, 14 August 2024, in the auditorium on the third floor of the Sudirman Campus.

Several notable and highly competent figures were present, including the Chairman of the Indonesian Museum Association and Member of DPR RI, Putu Supadma Rudana, M.B.A.; Head of the DPR RI Expertise Board, Dr Inosentus Samsul, S.H., M.Hum; Dr H Marzuki Alie (Rector of Universitas Indo Global Mandiri); Prof Erry Yulian T Adesta, Ph.D. (Vice Rector III for Planning and Cooperation, Universitas IGM); Dr Shinta Puspa Sari, S.Si., M.Kom (Head of Institute for Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Universitas IGM); and Dr Hendra Sudrajat, S.H., M.H. (Legal Advocacy Expert for Regional Museums in South Sumatra).

Dr Inosentus Samsul, S.H., M.Hum, Head of the DPR RI Expertise Board, expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome from Universitas Indo Global Mandiri in facilitating the signing of the MoU and organising the FGD.

He noted that the DPR RI Expertise Board now has a strategic partner in Universitas IGM, led by Marzuki Alie, who brings a wealth of experience from across the country. "We need input from Universitas IGM to develop education in Indonesia," he concluded. (andhikota/dzulfiqor ammar)
