The Visual Communication Design (DKV) Programme from the Faculty of Government and Cultural Sciences at Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (IGM) conducted a sharing session for students of SMK Negeri 5 Palembang.
During the event, DKV lecturer from Universitas IGM, Aji Windu Viatra, S.Sn, M.Sn, stated that the students acquired new and advanced knowledge regarding animation development and practical sessions on basic animation using applications for Year 10 and Year 12 students.
"The animation we teach is initially Two-Dimensional Animation. In future scheduled meetings, we will provide instruction on three-dimensional animation," said Aji.
He commended the facilities available at SMK N. According to him, the school possesses adequate and supportive facilities for the animation classes. "The students already have a good basic in drawing, so we just need to refine and guide them to their full potential. They also quickly grasp our lessons," Aji explained.
The DKV Programme confirmed to continue similar activities, targeting other vocational schools with DKV courses. "In the future, we will also involve our students in similar activities, targeting other vocational schools that offer DKV courses, not only in Palembang but also in other regions of South Sumatra," Aji added.
