BCA Study Bank Tour and Sharing: Promoting Financial Literacy Among Students
Senin, 20 Mei 2024
The Faculty of Economics at Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (IGM) visited Bank Central Asia (BCA) at its Main Branch in Palembang for a Study Bank Tour and Sharing event, organised by Southeast Asia's largest bank.
During the event, students were introduced to financial literacy and its intricacies, which they can apply in their daily lives.
Dr Hj Tien Yustini, S.E., M.Si, Head of Cooperation Bureau at Universitas IGM, stated that according to a BCA survey, only about 46 percent of youth, particularly students, understand financial literacy.
This finding has prompted BCA to educate the public, especially students, about the role of banking. "It's important to socialise what banking actually entails," said Tien.
The Study Bank Tour and Sharing session detailed BCA's roles and products, highlighting the ease of conducting economic activities, obtaining loans, performing transactions, and participating in student loan and internship programmes offered by the bank. (andhiko ta/dzufiqor ammar)
