Universitas Indo Global Mandiri (IGM) has crowned Asmiati as the 2023 outstanding student.

The achievement was crowned after the English Education Department student outperformed a dozen other candidates in the most outstanding students selection (Pilmapres) 2023 which was held at the third-floor hall of Sudirman Campus on Monday (10/4/2023).

Besides Asmiati, there are three other candidates, named Akbar Nugroho, a student of the Management Study Programme; Amrina Rosada, a student of the Architecture Study Programme; and Ibnu Yogi, a Government Science Study Programme student.

Head of Student Affairs Division of Universitas IGM, Tri Wulandari, S.E, M.Fin explained UIGM again conducted the pilmapres by carrying out the dedication to success.

This is probably the best moment because classes have returned to the way they were before the pandemic, which makes students more enthusiastic about their creativity and academic performance.

She said the candidates to be considered have to fulfil several criteria, including having the courage to try to start competing, academic performance by having excellent achievements, non-academic achievements such as foreign languages and communication skills that can be seen from the way they present their scientific work.

He said the academic achievements that GPA and outstanding achievements are seen as well as non-academic achievements as an additional value.

After this election, the first winner will be prepared to participate in the selection of pilmapres at the regional level and hopefully will continue to represent Universitas IGM nationally. (andhiko tungga alam/dzulfiqor ammar)
